Altoona Fire Station No. 26

Altoona Fire Station No. 26 – Emergency Services Facility

We’re proud to serve as the Construction Manager for the new Altoona Fire Station No. 26, a modern satellite facility designed to enhance emergency response and support the daily needs of fire department personnel. The station will feature four drive-through apparatus bays for fire trucks and equipment, a training room that also functions as an Emergency Operations Center (EOC), and a full complement of operational spaces including offices, a day room, kitchen, report spaces, a fitness center, lockers, restrooms, and laundry facilities. Additional spaces include equipment storage, a decontamination room, eight sleeping quarters, a fire station alerting system, an IT server room to support the city’s remote backup needs, and other support areas essential to daily operations.

The facility will be constructed using durable materials such as aluminum, metal panels, masonry veneer, and concrete masonry units to ensure long-term performance. Interior finishes will include sealed and polished concrete floors, carpet, acoustical ceiling baffles and wall treatments, and pre-finished structural metal decking with a wood-grain appearance in the apparatus bay.
