DCI Group completed the rehabilitation of historical windows and doors on the Iowa State Capitol Building.
The project involved erecting scaffolding around the five-story structure, removing existing sand-textured finishes from window frames and sills, repairing deteriorated wood, and applying new finishes. Historic doors were stripped and refinished to match their original appearance. The work required close coordination with the State of Iowa’s facilities management and historical preservation team to maintain the building’s historical integrity while upgrading its exterior elements.
