Capitol Windows Rehabilitation

The project involved the rehabilitation of historical windows and doors on the Iowa State Capitol Building.

The scope included erecting scaffolding around the five-story Capitol building, removing the existing sand-textured finish from window frames and sills, repairing deteriorated wood, and applying a new finish. It also included stripping and refinishing historical doors to match their original finish. The project required close coordination with the State of Iowa’s facilities management and historical preservation team to ensure the preservation of the windows’ historical integrity.
