These projects include work at Whittler Elementary, Irving Elementary, a high school addition and renovation, and an athletic stadium. For each, DCI handled pre-bond, preconstruction, and construction services, which involved significant interior demolition and remodeling to enhance classrooms and support areas. With tight timelines to ensure continued school operations, some work occurred while buildings were occupied. The preconstruction phase spanned 16 months, during which nine separate bid documents were developed and executed.
The project involved full mechanical, electrical, architectural, and site renovations of a 56,000-square-foot public elementary school, along with the addition of a mechanical room, new classrooms, and a Media Center with support spaces. Completed in two phases to allow partial occupancy during construction, work began in March 2014 and was substantially finished by January 2015. Total Project Budget: $9,000,000
The site was fully renovated with new off-street parking and expanded, improved playgrounds. The building gained secure entry points and a new addition for teacher and student access. Interior classrooms and offices underwent minor renovations. Construction began in March 2014 and was substantially completed by October 2014. Total Project Budget: $3,600,000
The project involved full mechanical, electrical, architectural, and site renovations of a 54,000-square-foot public elementary school. It was completed in two phases, allowing partial occupancy during construction. Work began in January 2015 and was substantially finished by December 2015. Total Project Budget: $7,600,000
Two new parking lots were built, adding approximately 500 stalls. On the west side of the existing track, a 3,000-seat bleacher and press box structure was constructed to serve as the home stands. A large team building and a separate concession building were added north of the track and football field. Extensive site work was required for all three phases. Construction began in September 2013 and was substantially completed by November 2015. Total Project Budget: $6,000,000
The multi-phase project began with replacing all interior and exterior door hardware, followed by the addition of a new Family Consumer Science building. The project also included a complete interior renovation of the Administration and Guidance Offices, as well as professional development meeting spaces for the school district. Construction started in January 2014 and was substantially completed by January 2016. Total Project Budget: $2,800,000
