DCI Group is providing Construction Management services to complete two projects for the Interstate-35 Community School District.
DCI is currently progressing through construction and preconstruction phases of these projects. Significant renovations and additions to the K-12 building are planned. Construction of the new CTE Maintenance Building began in June of 2017. This entails a 15,000SF pre-engineered metal building to house the new wood and metal shop with classroom space and an area for the school’s maintenance staff and supplies.
The next phase of construction will include converting the current wood & metal shop space into the fine arts department with space for choir, high school and elementary band practice rooms, and staff offices. A 600-seat auditorium will be added for the fine arts productions and community events. These projects are taking place during occupied conditions, so strict logistics planning is required. Work at I-35 Schools is scheduled to be completed in Summer 2019.
