Iowa Law Enforcement Academy Renovation – Camp Dodge

DCI Group completed preconstruction and construction management services for the full renovation of the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy located on the Camp Dodge campus in Johnston, Iowa. Designer procurement began in late 2018, followed by project bidding in early 2019. Construction management services started in Spring 2019 and were completed in Spring 2020.

The project included demolition and reconstruction of the existing 48,000-square-foot dormitory, classroom, administrative, and training facilities. The completed facility now includes a modern dormitory, classrooms, training spaces, and a weight room capable of accommodating more than 100 students. Additional spaces include administrative offices, kitchen and dining areas, and recreational spaces serving students, staff, and the Camp Dodge campus.
