DCI Group worked with the North Polk Community School District over a five-year period, completing this Career and Technology Education (CTE) Facility as the seventh project for the district as Construction Manager as Agent.
The 20,000-square-foot addition expanded the existing high school with a 2,700-square-foot metal shop, a 1,500-square-foot agricultural shop, a 4,000-square-foot wood shop, and an 11,800-square-foot two-story classroom area housing five classrooms and support spaces.
The building was constructed with load-bearing precast walls supported by metal roof joists and columns. The two-story classroom area utilized structural steel with a composite deck, creating a durable and functional space for technical and career-focused education.
This project demonstrates DCI Group’s expertise in educational facility construction, delivering high-quality, purpose-built spaces that enhance learning and hands-on training opportunities for students.
