DCI Group served as Owner’s Representative for the development and construction of Principal Financial Group’s 45,500-square-foot corporate facility in Cedar Falls, Iowa, completed in July 2012.
The build-to-suit office structure included lease-back provisions and was delivered on an aggressive schedule. DCI Group coordinated strategy, design, business unit needs, project schedule, and budget from groundbreaking to final closeout. Responsibilities included managing local contractors and trades, facilitating collaboration between Des Moines and Cedar Falls business units, and negotiating a ten-year warranty. The building turnover was successfully completed over a single weekend, demonstrating meticulous planning and execution.
