DCI Group led the effort to plan and design a renovation of Principal Financial Groups 125,000 sf printing facility in Urbandale, Iowa.
This project was driven by the need to make the facility more efficient. The remodel reorganized their equipment for better process flow and provided space to add 40 scanning and distribution work stations, 42 manager and supervisor work stations and 230 additional disaster recovery work stations. The finished office space in the facility doubled in size to add a larger break area, vending and a large conference room. This renovation was sequenced to keep the operations running throughout construction.
