Iowa City Student Housing – Riverside Drive & Myrtle Avenue

DCI Group provided construction services for a 350,000-square-foot student housing development in Iowa City, Iowa, along Riverside Drive and Myrtle Avenue. The 291-unit, four- to six-story building includes one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments, totaling 648 beds. Construction began in early 2023 and was completed in Summer 2025, overcoming a 50-foot site elevation change with strategically placed retaining walls.

The project features two outdoor courtyards with a swimming pool, grilling areas, and student seating for social and study spaces. A 507-stall parking garage adjacent to the Iowa Interstate Railroad was also constructed to support residents. DCI Group’s expertise in large-scale student housing construction ensured the project was delivered efficiently, on schedule, and to high-quality standards.
