Riverfront West Student Housing

DCI Group is currently performing construction services for a 350,000-square-foot student housing building along Riverside Drive and Myrtle Avenue in Iowa City, Iowa.

The 291-unit building will feature a combination of one, two, and three-bedroom units, totaling 648 bed. Construction of the wood-frame structure, which will range from four to six stories, is set to begin in early 2023 and is expected to be completed by Summer 2025. The site, which has a 50-foot elevation drop from west to east, will require several retaining walls. The building design includes two outdoor courtyards featuring a swimming pool, grilling areas, and seating for students to socialize or study. Additionally, a 507-stall parking garage will be located on the south side of the property, adjacent to the Iowa Interstate Railroad.
